Reclaiming

Reclaiming is a process where a machine pulverizes the existing pavement to a point where it turns the asphalt back into the base material. This reclaimed base material can be used right in place. In most cases it will also increase the overall strength of the parking lot.

Milling

Milling is a process that can make the repaving of a parking lot or road more economical. This process removes the top 1”-2” of the surface which allows a new course of asphalt to be placed on top.

Resurfacing

Resurfacing is a cost-effective way to extend the life of a parking lot. It is a process where after some preparation work, sweeping and tack coating is completed a 1 ½” – 2” course of asphalt is spread over and existing parking lot.

Repairing of existing parking lots

Repairing a parking lot can range from minor work to major repairs. If a defect is confined to a small area, that area can be cut out and replaced. If the defect is widespread throughout the parking lot other techniques may be required such as reclaiming or milling.
